Itao's "Wife", contrary to the name, is a character for the various skits instead of being Itao Itsuji's actual wife. Six different women had portrayed this role. The most popular of these is the fourth one Sherri for her appearance in the No-Laughing High School where she dances to Madonna's songs. Sherri's popularity has spread beyond the Downtown series.
